Sublette County Public Health Variance #2 to take effect May 9th

The Sublette County Health Officer Public Health Variance #2 will take effect on Saturday, May 9th, 2020.
This variance states churches and other religious organizations may host gatherings and have meetings or services for ten (10) or more people if they adhere to conditions laid out by the County Health Officer.
These conditions include; 1. 6-foot distance must be maintained between individual household groups at all times 2. The number of people in confined areas must be limited to allow for proper distancing 3. There will be no close contact between members of different households before, during and after the meeting or service 4. Staff must pass out reading materials, collection plates, and communion trays must be passed out to individual attendees 5. Leaders and staff must be screened for symptoms of COVID-19 or exposure to a person with confirmed COVID-19; anyone with symptoms of illness or known exposure will not be able to participate in the service or meeting 6. Buildings must be cleaned thoroughly, including all high touch areas before and after each service or meeting 7. Communion must be served in individual containers, if containers are not available, assigned individuals that have properly washed their hands, are wearing gloves and a mask may place items into attendees’ hands 8. Exchange of food or drink is not allowed 9. Face coverings must be worn if any leader or staff are to come within 6 feet of distance from an attendee 10. In addition to the provisions above organizations are encourage to; a. Offer the ability to watch or listen to the service or meeting from home if possible b. Hand sanitizer should be provided at the entrance and exits c. Participants should be informed on maintaining proper hygiene, avoiding touching their face, eyes, nose and mouth and covering coughs and sneezes d. Participants should be informed to stay home if they have COVID-19 symptoms or have been exposed to anyone with COVID-19 e. Face coverings should be encouraged throughout the service f. High risk individuals should be encouraged to stay at home, if not possible, designated areas should be made inside the facility or a service for high risk individuals only should be offered.
(Any person or legal entity that violates this variance shall be subject to criminal prosecution.) The Sublette County Health Officer may grant exceptions to the Countywide Variance on a case by case basis after evaluating the request and obtaining written approval from the State Health Officer. This Countywide Variance will remain in effect until such time as the Sublette County Health Officer enters a decision to revoke or modify this variance under the direct supervision of the State Health Officer.
