Three Simple Things by Brendan Fitzsimmons MD, Sublette County Health Officer
Dear Sublette County, We are ALL tired of Covid-19 and we were hoping things could go back to normal and we could all relax with the restrictions we have been living with for so long. Unfortunately, this is turning out to be a premature hope. All around our country, we see a resurgence of this pandemic, including here in Wyoming. As we move toward the end of summer and into the fall, we need to maintain our vigilance and continue some of the simple expedient actions that have so far kept our county out of trouble with this pandemic.
I would like to join my voice with that of our President Donald J. Trump, and the Board of County Commissioners of Sublette County, in asking everyone to be diligent in these 3 simple things: • Wash your hands regularly with soap and water or hand sanitizer. • Maintain social distancing both indoors and out. • And wear face coverings or masks whenever you are in indoor public spaces or in outdoor crowds where social distancing is not possible.
These are 3 simple things that cost us NOTHING to achieve and will help as much as anything else to slow the spread of this virus through the population of our county.
We ALL do not want to see restaurants, gyms, bars, hair salons, bowling lanes etc. shut down again. We desperately want to see our children able to resume school in as normal a fashion as possible. You can do your part to try to avoid this with these 3 simple, easy things: wash your hands, social distance and wear face coverings. We all want to see things go back to how they were before this spring. Your actions can speed that day along its way!
