Sublette County has two more positive COVID-19 cases
Total of six confirmed cases in the county, no deaths
July 12, 2020
Sublette County Public Health and the Wyoming Department of Health have been notified of two more lab-confirmed cases of coronavirus, COVID-19, in Sublette County.
One is a male adult in his 50s. The other is a female in her mid-30s. Both are isolating and recovering at home. Neither case is related to any of the cases reported earlier this week.
Wyoming Department of Health and Sublette County Public Health are following up to monitor and learn more about these persons’ exposure risk and identify and communicate with anyone who may have been in close contact with these patients. Known contacts will be asked to quarantine and to monitored for symptoms and tested if needed.
All the cases reported in Sublette County (to this date) have been able to identify a risk factor—through domestic travel, close contact to a known positive, or close contact with someone that has been ill. There is no evidence of community spread at this time.
Health officials say they are expecting to see an increase in the number of positive cases in Sublette County as we test close contacts to these new positive cases and with the recent community activities over the past few weekends.
Sublette County still has no reported deaths due to COVID-19. Wyoming Public Health Laboratory has run 28,636 tests of sick people for coronavirus and private labs have run 27,466 tests. Of those, 1,506 have come back confirmed for the virus. 21 people have died in Wyoming due to COVID-19. Wyoming’s population (2019) is 578,759.
