Smoke blew into the Upper Green River Valley Wednesday night and hung around all day Thursday turning everything a funny yellowish color and aggravating those with allergies and breathing issues. There are no big fires in Wyoming at this time, but there are fires in neighboring states which wind currents are carrying the smoke into our area. Most of the smoke impacting our area appears to be coming from wildfires in southern California.

The National Weather Service in Riverton says we can expect at least another day of smoky air before weather patterns bring in some wind to clear things out around Friday night.
