White Pine offers Junior Snowsports Club for kids
October 5, 2020
White Pine Junior Snowsports Club (WPJSC) for kids in grades K thru 8. It is organized by the non-profit White Pine Foundation.
There is a $25 annual membership which gets participants a membership punch card giving them monthly benefits such as free cocoa, tubing tickets, buddy passes and more.
This Fall, in cooperation with Ranae Pape at The Garage Gym in Pinedale, the Club is offering members Free Ski Conditioning Classes. This will be aimed at fitness and exercise specifically to help skier and snowboarders.
This will be an 8-week class starting Monday October 5th, going through to Tuesday November 24th, and available every Monday and Tuesday from approximately 3:45 to 4:30pm.
Middle School and Elementary School students can take the "Duck" bus right from school to the Gym, but will need to be collected after 4:30 from the Gym. Gym attendance is up to the individual and missing a day or week is not a problem.
WPJSC membership is from December 1st thru November 30th, so all members from the 2019-20 Ski Season automatically qualify, and if the Club has a signed parental waiver this will cover their Ski Conditioning Course. Membership forms are available at the Garage Gym, 250 S. Cole Ave., in Pinedale so kids can join anytime, but a parent/guardian waiver form will be needed for the first visit.
Cost of the Ski Conditioning Course is covered by the White Pine Foundation.
