Oranges and Grapefruit

P.E.O. is a philanthropic organization that helps women by providing scholarships, awards and grants for advancement. The local chapter in Pinedale is presenting their 1st Annual Citrus Fundraiser. They are offering California Navel Oranges by the ˝ bushel box and Texas Rio Star Grapefruit by the ˝ bushel box. The deadline to order is Saturday, November 28th. California Navel Oranges: The vivid orange color, and sweet taste of California Navel Oranges can be attributed to the growing climate of the San Joaquin Valley in central California. This seedless fruit is juicy, full of flavor, and easy to peel. Depending on the size and availability, each ˝ bushel box holds either 44 or 48 oranges. Price: $35.00

Texas Rio Star Grapefruit: Unlike most grapefruit, Texas Rio Star Grapefruit has a deep red body and is sweet to the taste. Grown in the semi-tropical climate of the Gulf of Mexico’s Rio Grande Valley, this thin-skinned fruit is so delicious it can be peeled and eaten like an orange. Depending on the size and availability, each ˝ bushel box holds either 20, 24 or 28 grapefruit. Price: $35.00
