FRIDAY, FEB. 5, 2021 – DRIGGS, IDAHO - A snowy, windy Stage 6 in Driggs, Idaho today saw Anny Malo widen her lead over Lina Streeper by 40 seconds to an overall lead of 14 min 40 seconds. A soft 29-mile trail up and over the Big Hole Mountains gaining 1,800 vertical feet on narrower trails made this arguably the most challenging trail of the last six days. But once again, Malo executed a nearly flawless run.
Érick Laforce and JR Anderson are currently separated by 9 minutes for 3rd and 4th place after 180 miles of racing. Diane Marquis from Quebec is holding a solid 5th place. For sure, Alix Crittenden needs to be looking over her shoulder for Maria Torgerson tomorrow. Maria, currently 7th overall, has been gaining steadily and is now only 4 min and 44 seconds behind 6th place. Elliot Rivest 8th, Thad Mccracken 9th and Austin Fornery round out the Top 10. (Full standings below)
The 7th and final stage will run from the Blackrock Ranger Station in Teton County, Wyoming tomorrow (Saturday, February 6) with the first team leaving the chute at 9 AM.
