Another exciting day on the Pedigree Stage Stop Sled Dog Race. Mushers completed stage four of seven in the Wyoming Mountain Range just west of Big Piney and Marbleton on Tuesday, February 2nd.
With the race now crossing the halfway mark, defending champion Anny Malo won the stage and increased her overall lead 00:08:18 over second place musher and past champion Lina Streeper. Malo now has two wins out of four stages and will wear the Yellow Bib on stage five in Lander.
Musher JR Anderson from Minnesota moved up from fifth to fourth place and is now threatening Érick Laforce for third. Anderson has been steady from run to run with consistent split times up and down the racecourse.
Three days of racing remain with the next stage taking place near Lander, Wyoming on the South Pass of the Wind River Mountain Range. The race then heads to Driggs, Idaho and Teton County Wyoming for stages six and seven.

With a total combined payout of $165,000, the Pedigree Stage Race offers the largest purse in the lower 48 and draws many of the top teams from the United States and Canada.
