Weather and Road update, Monday, March 15, 8:15AM: 28F in Pinedale as of the time of this report. Chance of snow showers in the Upper Green River Valley over the next couple of days, then sunshine on tap for the rest of the week. Daytime highs in the 40Fs degrees around Pinedale. Nighttime lows in the teens. The big winter storm that missed us over the weekend slammed eastern Wyoming and northern Colorado. Many roads on the east side of the state remain closed, including I-80 east from Rock Springs. If anyone is stuck here for the day looking for something to do, the Great Outdoor Shop rents skis and snowshoes, 307-367-2440, White Pine Ski Area is open for alpine skiing and tubing - as are the nearby free Nordic ski groomed trails, and another option is to visit the Museum of the Mountain Man in Pinedale which is closed for winter but open for visits by appointment 307-367-4101.
