Postage rates go up August 29th

The U.S. Postal Service will increase their postage rates for the second time in 2021, effective Sunday, August 29th. The first rate increase went into effect in January. Products impacted in this rate increase will be first class mail letters, postcards and mailing services. Rates will not change for first class package service or priority mail. First class mail will go up $.03 cents from $.55 cents to $.58 cents. The metered rate for first class stamps will go from $.51 to $.53 cents. Certified Mail is increasing from $3.60 to $3.75, a $0.15 increase. Registered Mail is increasing from $12.90 to $13.75, an $0.85 increase.
