Halloween Candy Scavenger Hunt at Museum Oct. 30
October 24, 2021
The Museum of the Mountain Man in Pinedale will be hosting a Halloween Candy Scavenger Hunt on Saturday, October 30th. Using the theme, "History is everywhere! Even in candy!" the Museum invites young ghosts and goblins to come between 9AM to 5PM for a scavenger hunt through the museum. Families in free with children in costume – children must be accompanied by an adult. Children get a scavenger hunt card from the front desk, go through the museum and find the candy cards. When they bring the filled-out card to the front desk they get their candy bag. Last year was the first year for the Halloween Scavenger Hunt at the Museum. Despite the constraints of COVID-19 restrictions, it was a big success, according to Museum Curator Andrea Lewis. Families can stop in anytime during the day on Saturday while the Museum is open to do the scavenger hunt.
The cards have brief histories of the set of candies being given out this year: Hershey chocolate bar, Milky Way bar, life savers, stick candy, laffy taffy, lolly pops, Nerds, pixy stix, and Whoppers.
The scavenger hunt is being sponsored by Sublette County BOCES and Office Outlet in Pinedale.
The next day, Sunday, October 31st, will be the last day of the 2021 summer season for the Museum. Admission will be free that day. The Museum will be open by appointment during the winter season. Call 307-367-4101 to make arrangements for visits.
