Sublette County 100th Anniversary Commemorative Rifle presented to County Commissioners
by Sublette County Centennial Committee
December 18, 2021
The Sublette County Centennial Committee has been coordinating projects and events to celebrate the County’s 100 years of history. In addition to sharing details of the area’s past, the Committee wishes to leave some tangible items as a legacy for future generations of Sublette County residents. The Centennial quilt is one of those projects.
Another commemorative piece was presented to the County Board of Commissioners on December 7, 2021. The Sublette County 100th Anniversary Rifle is a fully functional Henry .30-30 Lever Action 24 Karat Gold-plated limited-edition piece. It is engraved on the receiver and walnut stock with scenes of historic significance to the county, including oil and gas, cattlemen, fur trade and mountain men.
The Committee chose #23 of the 25-item limited edition in honor of our county license plates. This impressive rifle is on display in the Commissioners Board meeting room in the Sublette County Courthouse in Pinedale.
