Avalanche Clinic

Tip Top Search & Rescue is offering a free Avalanche Awareness Clinic on Saturday, February 12th from 9AM to about 1PM at the Horse Creek parking lot (17 miles west of Daniel Junction on Hwy 354). All ages welcome, but kids age 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Come dressed for cold weather and be prepared for practice in the field near the parking lot. Bring your personal safety equipment – there will also be plenty on hand to share and use. NO snowmachines needed. Hands-on training with avalanche safety equipment. Come try the new Avalanche Beacon Park. Get the latest information on the Be 307 Aware campaign. There will be demonstrations on self-rescue, buddy-rescue techniques, hands-on training with beacons, tips for better shoveling and proper probing. Registration on-site, no need to sign up early.
