The Pinedale Theatre Company (PTC) will present Broadway Goes to the Movies on Saturday October 22, at 7 pm in Sheppard Auditorium. The PTC Board, performers and staff are excited to be able to again present a program for the community after being dormant since 2019 when PTC produced Beauty and the Beast.
"This is our first event following the pandemic and we are so excited to get rolling again," Sue Holz, board chair stated. "We have synchronized with the School District’s music and theater departments so students will be able to participate in school and PTC musicals and events if they wish."
According to Sue, this one night, October 22 performance presents songs and dancing from musicals that were made into movies over several decades. Valerie Lee is the director and has created an entire show from scratch that features the talents of new and well-known community members including students from Pinedale and Big Piney. There are 50-plus in the cast and an equal number of folks who are part of the production team. Sue said, "The directors and cast have worked so hard putting this together - it should be dynamite!" The program is billed as a fundraiser so that PTC can jumpstart their funding for a full-scale musical next year.
Tickets are $50 and are available online through the PFAC website (www.pinedalefinearts.com), at Office Outlet in Pinedale or Big Piney, and The Cowboy Shop in Pinedale. Please plan to attend!
