The Art Enhancement Program at the Pinedale Aquatic Center (PAC) is supported in part by a grant from the Wyoming Arts Council, with support from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Wyoming Legislature. Through grants, partnerships, programs and unique opportunities, the Wyoming Arts Council provides funding and support statewide for projects big and small. The WAC plays an important role in the economic and social development of every community by investing in the arts. It awards almost 150 grants and fellowships each year, funding programs and projects from every county, thereby serving more than a million participants, including 1.1m adults, 200k youth, 10k artists, and 1.3m people total. For every $1 of Arts Council funding, local communities provided another $35 worth of arts programming in FY16, with an estimated project value of $32,167,251.
Little Wrangler Day Campers have spent their time at camp working on multiple STEAM activities, movement and ZUMBA with NESS FREE??, and "Paint and Partea" with visiting artist Mae Orm. Local Christy Anspach has been contracted to provide arts learning curriculum through the utilization of this grant program. Each camper will receive a specialized art curriculum at camp in 2024, which is exciting and a unique opportunity. In addition to camp, children participating in Little Wrangler Fridays will be able to participate in mermaid swimming, light painting, and other STEAM activities thanks to the continued use of this grant throughout the school year to provide fun and educational arts learning opportunities to all youth using PAC in after school care.
Friends of PAC ensures supplemental funding and community engagement for ongoing recreational services and facilities in support of the Pinedale Aquatic Center. Find more information at www.welovepac.com and on Facebook at FriendsofPac.
