Hank Ruland took a drone shot of New fork lake on Wednesday, January 10th. Typically, by mid-January we will have had several weeks of below zero temperatures and the big lakes will be frozen over by now. As seen in this photo, there is still a big open hole near the narrows. Note the ice fishing tent in the foreground.
