Museum of the Mountain Man Spring Thaw Party March 7

The Museum of the Mountain Man invites everyone to their 2024 Spring Thaw Party & Annual Meeting of the Sublette County Historical Society on Thursday, March 7, 2024 at the Museum in Pinedale. Social hour is at 6:00pm with light food and refreshments. There will be a short business meeting at 7:00pm, followed by program. Special Guest Speaker is local historian Ann Noble. She will be talking on the "History of the Big Sandy Lodge and the Big Sandy Area." Big Sandy Lodge was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in the fall of 2023. This discussion will explore its unique history and will bring to light a rich history of the early settlement of the upper Big Sandy area at the southern end of the Wind River Mountains.
