Hunter Education class offered in August

A Wyoming Hunter Education Class will begin Tuesday, August 6, at the Sublette County Weed & Pest training room, located at 12 South Bench Road in Pinedale, and run through August 10th. Class will begin each evening, promptly at 5:00 p.m. and ending at 9:00 p.m.
Shooting class will NOT be at Weed & Pest. Saturday shooting class on August 10th will begin at 12:30 p.m. and end at 4:00 p.m. and be conducted at the Pinedale Rifle and Pistol Club, located off Industrial Site Road off US Hwy 191. The range is above the industrial area toward Mt Airy. Turn south up the mountain at Eagle Storage located on the south side of Industrial Site Road. DO NOT BRING ANY FIREARMS OR AMMUNITION TO THE SHOOTING CLASS ON SATURDAY, AUGUST 10th.
No classes will occur at Weed & Pest on August 10th. Class will convene at 1pm at the Rifle and Pistol Club.
Class fee is $10 per student. Minimum age for attendance is 10 years. Youth under 13 must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or other adult as approved by parent or guardian. Students must have sufficient upper body strength to safely demonstrate firearms handling to the satisfaction of instructors.
Any absence for any reason will result in failure/incomplete. Entire course must be attended, including the range on Saturday.
Parent/guardian permission slips must be presented to instructors upon arrival for first class on August 6th.
Participants should be registered prior to arrival at class, but first must obtain a Sportsperson ID number (SPID). Also, everyone who wants to purchase a hunting license or game tag must also have an SPID.
