Pinedale’s Soundcheck Summer Music Series continues Thursday, July 4th with California-based Americana trio Two Runner (trio) headlining. Special guests Kimmi Bitter & the Westside Twang, a San Diego-based four-piece will play the middle slot and Jackson singer/songwriter Missy Jo will open things up with a solo set. Music will start around 4:00 p.m.
All Soundcheck shows are presented by the Pinedale Fine Arts Council (PFAC) and take place at American Legion Park in downtown Pinedale. Shows are free to the public and are kid/pet friendly and feature food/drink vendors and activities for kids!
The July 4th Soundcheck will also coincide with the Town of Pinedale’s annual 4th of July Picnic (2pm-4pm, Free). So come early for free hot dogs and hamburgers (BYO sides and beverages) and then stay late for a night of music before checking out Pinedale’s famous fireworks show at sundown!
Two Runner is songwriter Paige Anderson and fiddler Emilie Rose from the hills of Northern California. The folk duo emits a ray of unprocessed realness through their well-crafted songs and instrumental skills. Both growing up in their rural mountain town, best friends Paige Anderson and Emilie Rose learned folk music and performance from a young age, and now tour nationally as Two Runner. Through the mediums of clawhammer banjo, vocal harmonies, oldtime fiddle, and flatpicking guitar, Two Runner has a sound that is strongly rooted in American folk music through the vehicle of Paige’s wistful songwriting. Two Runner self-released their debut album, Modern Cowboy, in the spring of 2023 and have shared the stage with Sierra Ferrell, Watchhouse, Jesse Daniel, Nick Shoulders, Charlie Parr and many more.
Creating a buzz from her grassroots efforts and vigorous touring, her debut album "Old School" hit the ground running in 2024 landing at #24 on the Americana Album Radio Chart with "My Grass is Blue" debuting on the Americana Single Radio Chart as a Top 40. Bitter is a testament that classic country never goes out of style.
Born and raised in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, Melissa Elliott is a singer, songwriter, teacher and music director performing under the alias Missy Jo whose musical explorations seek to thin the barriers between R&B, Western, and Jazz. Her songs explore cunning observations on the human experience - life, love, romance in the midst of apocalypse, her affinity for thrift shopping. Between her lyrical vulnerability, genre blending, and soulful voice, Missy Jo's music welcomes listeners into her world.
All Soundcheck shows are free and feature food/drink vendors and a fun, family-friendly atmosphere.
