Sommers Homestead Open House & WY Cowboy Hall of Fame Sept. 1

The Sommers Ranch Homestead invites everyone to their annual fall Open House and Wyoming Cowboy Hall of Fame recognition on Labor Day weekend, Sunday, September 1st. The Open House will be from 10AM to 3PM. This is their last open day for the 2024 summer season. There will be a free lunch of beef, beans, potatoes, homemade bread and pie desserts. Lunch starts at 11:30AM. Don’t be late, food disappears fast. There will be live music entertainment by Jared Rogerson. The Wyoming Cowboy Hall of Fame recognition begins at 1PM. There are four Sublette County cowboys being recognized this year: Gary Lozier, John Budd, Kevin Campbell, and Steve James. The Sommers Homestead Living History Museum is operated by the Sublette County Historical Society, a non-profit organization, which also operates the Museum of the Mountain Man in Pinedale. The Homestead is located 7.3 miles south on the East Green River Road.
