Conservation easements succession planning information session Nov. 19
November 3, 2025
The Green River Valley Program (GRVP) invites local succession planning professionals, including attorneys, accountants, financial advisors, realtors, and tax specialists, and members of the public to attend an upcoming information session on conservation easements and succession planning resources in Sublette County.
The event will take place on Wednesday, November 19 in the Lovatt Room of the Pinedale Library from 5:30 pm-7:30 pm. The session will feature presentations from the Green River Valley Program on conservation easements and will share insights on the legal, financial, tax, and real estate considerations involved in these voluntary agreements, which allow landowners to permanently protect their property while retaining private ownership.
A panel discussion will follow featuring local producers, University of Wyoming Extension staff, and other professionals in multiple fields who will discuss their experiences in succession planning and conservation easements. This session is designed to foster dialogue between conservation organizations and the succession planning community. It aims to address the succession planning needs of agricultural operations in Sublette County and help professionals better understand how conservation easements can support their clients’ financial and legacy planning goals.
Members of the public are welcome to attend to learn more about conservation easements and connect with succession planning professionals.
Light refreshments will be provided. To RSVP, email Green River Valley Program Director Kerry Schultz at kerry@jhlandtrust.org.
