Snow Advisory for Monday/Tuesday
Major early spring storm to bring more snow
March 28, 2005

A major early spring storm is expected to arrive in western Wyoming Monday bringing snowfall amounts of 6-12 inches of new snow to the mountains. The National Weather Service in Riverton has issued a Snow Advisory for western Wyoming. Valleys are likely to see a mixture of rain/snow, which may vary from 1-4 inches, along with gusty winds. There is the potential for heavier snowfall accumulations where no rain occurs. Travelers are advised that this storm will make mountain passes snow-packed and slick today and this evening. The storm will bring significant snow to the Salt and Wyoming Range mountains, Gros Ventre Range, Tetons and western slopes of the Wind River Mountains.

Another system will move into western Wyoming around Wednesday bringing 4-6 inches of new snow to higher elevations. Mountain passes again will be snow packed and slick.
