Contracts totaling more than $40 million for 11 highway projects around the state were awarded by the Wyoming Transportation Commission Thursday, November 17, during its monthly meeting in Cheyenne.

Included in the projects are:
* $4.95 million for pavement leveling and resurfacing on 6.1 miles of US 189 between LaBarge and Big Piney to be completed around November 30, 2006.
* Bridge repair and pavement resurfacing for 5.3 miles on US 191 in the vicinity of the Rim north of Daniel, at a cost of $1.5 million, with a targeted completion date of November 15, 2006.
