For those who would like more news about what the locals are up to, there are several good sources we want to point you to where you can read more online. The newsletters listed below are posted as printable PDF documents, which require free Adobe Acrobat Reader to view.

Rendezvous Pointe Senior Center puts out a regular newsletter and is now posting it to their website, www.rendezvouspointe.com. It has news about local seniors, happenings at the Center, profiles, upcoming birthdays and more.

The Sublette County Chamber of Commerce mails out a quarterly newsletter to their membership. That is also online at www.sublettechamber.com. In addition to member news, it has stories and updates of interest to anyone interested in business and commerce in the county.

St. Andrews in the Pines Episcopal Church in Pinedale posts their church newsletter on their website every month, www.standrewsinthepines.org.

Also, school teacher and long-time local history researcher Judi Myers is working on a story about the local Skinner brothers had a Wilderness School and hunting camp in the Wind River Mountains for 48 years. She has done interviews and articles, which are posted online on the Wyoming Authors website. She is looking for anyone who might have information and stories to add to her Skinners Brothers book. Anyone who might have something to contribute can find out more here: http://pinedaleroundupindex.pbwiki.com. The Wyoming Authors website can be found at: http://wiki.wyomingauthors.org

Another place for local information is an online chat group on Yahoo Groups moderated by Lynn Babcock. This site is for residents as well as anyone who has an interest in the area, or looking to move to the area. They’ll also do posts for items for sale, trade and for local events. This is not a dating site. They also encourage people to send in photos to post for their home page and will post links to personal websites and businesses related to Sublette County. Go to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/SubletteCounty for more information.

The Sublette County Joint Tourism Promotion Board is advertising outdoor blogs coming soon on their new website, www.mountainmancountry.com, but they aren’t online yet. Keep checking back with them to see when those go live.

Our two local newspapers also have weekly local news, the Pinedale Roundup and the Sublette Examiner, which publish weekly, on Thursdays.

If anyone has a blog or knows of another source of online information for the local area that we’ve missed, please e-mail and let us know.
