Travel Advisories, Winter Storm Warning
Mountains could see 10 inches of new snow today
February 27, 2007

Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) has issued a "No Unnecessary Travel" warning on Jackson routes between Hoback Canyon and Alpine Junction through the Snake River Canyon. They are cautioning of slick road conditions, snowfall, drifted snow, strong winds, blowing snow and limited visibility.

Road reports for pretty much all roads in the county are showing slick in spots and snowfall.

The National Weather Service has issued a Snow Advisory-Winter Storm Warning until 11 PM this evening for western mountains and valleys, including Yellowstone National Park. Mountains could get 5-10 inches of new snow. Valley snow accumulations of 2-5 inches predicted. Snowfall is expected to taper off by 11 PM this evening (Tuesday, February 27)

If traveling, be prepared for snow-covered roads, blowing and drifting snow, limited visibilities. More snow expected for next couple of days as a moist southwest flow brings more weather disturbances from the Northwest Wednesday through Friday. Stay tuned to weather and road reports for updated information.
