Wyoming Travel & Tourism is launching a new website that will support the Wyoming Road Trip Campaign over the next few months. The site www.roadtripwyoming.com is a social media aggregator that has feeds from Twitter, Facebook, FlickR, YouTube and MyWyoming. The feeds are pulled from each of these places using keywords and filters. The goal is "to begin to facilitate conversation between Wyoming enthusiasts/consumers and provide them with "real" content from other users about vacationing in Wyoming and specifically great road trips in Wyoming," said Alan Dubberley, Deputy Director of Wyoming Travel & Tourism in Cheyenne.

In an e-mail to Wyoming businesses, Dubberley said, "We would appreciate you taking a look at the new site and any feedback you have would be appreciated. Also, please know that when you post to your personal or business social media accounts, if you say anything about Wyoming and/or your business or area, it is possible those posts can get pulled into this new site… This is another way to use this new media to promote your area or business."

The summer Road Trip Campaign will be delivered through TV commercials in Rapid City, Billings, Butte/Bozeman, Idaho Falls, Pocatello, Salt Lake City and Denver. Radio spots will supplement the TV spots in each of these markets except Denver and Salt Lake City. They will have the TV and radio spots posted to the tourism industry website www.wyomingbusiness.org/tourism under Consumer Marketing later this month.
