Encana Oil & Gas (USA) Inc. is pleased to announce its scholarships for 2010-2011 graduating seniors. One $10,000 scholarship ($2,500 per year for up to four years) will be awarded annually to one senior who resides in areas in which Encana operates: Pinedale, Big Piney, Riverton, Wind River, Shoshoni, Lander, Wyoming Indian, Araphahoe, St. Stephens Indian, Rock Springs/Farson-Eden and Green River.

"Encana’s scholarship program invests in the future education of our youth and helps us establish a sustainable workforce in Wyoming," said Joyce Witte, Encana community investment advisor. "We are proud of all our high-achieving scholars and hope our financial resources will enable them to reach their goal of a higher education and achieve new heights in the energy industry."

In 2010, Encana awarded 70 scholarships in the U.S., of which 22 recipients were located in Wyoming. The Encana scholarship is awarded directly to the student to be used for any college-related financial need, such as tuition and fees, room & board, textbooks and rent.
