Dave Bell checked out the Elkhart Park trail to see if he could get in to Photographer’s Point last weekend (June 29th).

He was curious about the snow/trail conditions out of Elkhart Park with the possibility of photography at Photographers Point soon. "My hopes were dashed quickly. I hiked about 1.5 miles out of Elkhart on Sunday evening (6-29) and hit the first snow about a quarter mile out of the trailhead with the size and frequency of the drifts increasing every tenth of a mile. Give it another week or two and some of the mountain country will start opening up--but it is gonna be muddy for a while."
