CURRENT SITUATION:
The risk to Sublette County still remains low, however cases have made it to Wyoming. Last night a new order came down from Governor Gordon and State Health officer, Alexia Harrist, to help "flatten the curve" of spread in our communities. Guidance still dictates to avoid crowds of over 10 people. We cannot stress enough the importance of social distancing and self-isolation if you feel ill so as to not transmit to others, especially with spring break ending and people returning to Sublette County. There continues to be local closures, postponements and cancellations of facilities, businesses and events in Sublette County. A list of these are provided in this report as well as out to local and social media. We encourage the public to be two weeks ready and prepare, however there is no reason to panic and hoard supplies. When preparing to be two weeks ready keep your community members in mind when buying supplies especially those who are at risk. With that said both county grocery stores have taken steps to allow senior citizens and those at risk to have special shopping time, delivery and or pre-orders. There is no need to stock-up mass amounts of supplies and doing so can cause others who are in need to not have supplies available.

WHY THE CLOSURES?
We still want to encourage the public that the intent of doing so is to "flatten the curve" of spread. Dr. Fitzsimmons and Janna Lee did an interview with Bob Rule on KPIN 101.1FM Radio regarding all of this today. 03/20/2020 a link to the video can be found https://www.facebook.com/Sublettecountypublichealth/videos/3629237183784318/
COVID-19 has been described by medical professionals to be spread fairly easily. Postponing events and using social distancing can and will help minimize the spread of this virus in our communities. Local businesses have been given additional guidance on what measure they need to be taking during the order issued last evening. On March 18th, in line with "flattening the curve," the Town of Pinedale, Sublette County Chamber of Commerce office and Sublette County Courthouse have closed to public. However, the Courthouse will remain open with County employees running the County by phone, email, fax etc. Government remains intact and running behind the scenes.

Infrastructure: The Water/Sewer Departments of Pinedale, Marbleton and Big Piney want to assure the public that during the COVID-19 pandemic our operations will continue as normal. Water/wastewater operators are following Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) guidance and taking steps to ensure the health and safety of the public and our operators. According to the EPA, Coronavirus is "particularly susceptible to disinfection and standard treatment and disinfection processes are expected to be effective." The existing disinfection processes are designed to safeguard your drinking water against bacteria and viruses, including COVID-19. More information can be found at https://www.epa.gov/coronavirus. For additional information regarding COVID-19, please call Wyoming 2-1-1 or refer to Sublette County Public Health.

Sublette County Rural Health Care/Public Health: Testing kits are still very limited--our Wyoming Department of Health Guidelines currently allow medical providers to test patients that fit very specific criteria.
Here are the current priority groups for testing:
• People that have a fever or signs of respiratory illness AND have had close contact with confirmed case of COVID-19
• People that have a fever or signs of respiratory illness, have had a negative influenza test, AND are >65 years with underlying health conditions (like diabetes, heart disease, chronic lung disease)
• Hospitalized patients with fever, respiratory illness, and have had a negative influenza test

80-85% of people with COVID-19 can recover at home and do not need to be tested. Right now, we have to prioritize our testing. Please understand that our providers cannot test everyone at this time--they have very specific guidelines that they must follow. If you are sick, stay home and recover. Call the Rural Health Care Clinics if you have fever >100.4F, cough, and severe shortness of breath--they will give you instructions at that time

We continue to work closely with the County Commissioners, School Districts, Health care providers, Towns, businesses and other local partners on this ongoing situation and will provide any updates as we have them.

Updates will be posted by Sublette County Public Health, Sublette County Rural Health Care District, Sublette County Emergency Management and Sublette County Sheriff’s Office.
