Pinedale Stampede Nordic Ski Race

The Pinedale Aquatic Center is pleased to announce the results of the inaugural Pinedale Stampede Nordic Ski Race, which was held at the White Pine Nordic Ski area on Saturday, February 22nd.
The weather was perfect as 32 participants competed in the 6k, 11k and 22k events, followed by a fun 1k youth Stampede for the 11 and under crowd. Skiers came from Lander, Alpine, Afton and Jackson to join and challenge Pinedale area locals for bragging rights and some cool swag. The course was chosen by Jason Ray, with grooming provided by Mike Looney courtesy of the Sublette County Recreation Board.
Lander based Aaron Robson took the prize as overall champion of the 22k race, with Pinedale’s own Stephen Dibben having the fastest time for the 11k and Lander skier Gwen Robson taking first place in the 6k race. The race was made possible by a special use permit from the Bridger Teton National Forest, Pinedale.
