New book about Jim Bridger

Author Jerry Enzler has released a new book about mountain man, Jim Bridger. The book is entitled "Jim Bridger Trailblazer of the American West." The first comprehensive biography of this legendary western figure in more than 50 years. Jerry Enzler served as founding director of the National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium for thirty-seven years. He has published many historical articles on Jim Bridger, including several for the Museum of the Mountain Man’s Rocky Mountain Fur Trade Journal. His new book is on sale in the Museum’s online trading post www.mmmuseum.com/shop. Jerry will be giving a presentation on Jim Bridger at this year’s Green River Rendezvous in July in Pinedale (www.mmmuseum.com/rendezvous. Visitors to the Museum of the Mountain Man can see an original Jim Bridger gun on display.

The Rocky Mountain Fur Trade Journal, a publication of the Sublette County Historical Society and Museum of the Mountain Man, has published three articles about Jim Bridger by Jerry Enzler while he was researching and writing the new biography:

Copies of the RMFT Journal are available in the Museum gift shop and online from their website Trading Post, www.mmmuseum.com. The Museum of the Mountain Man opens for the summer season on Saturday, May 1st. The Museum will be open daily from 9AM to 5PM during the summer season.
