"An Artist Learns to See Land: Alfred Jacob Miller in the Wind River Mountains, 1837," 7 pm, Pinedale Library Lovatt Room. FREE presentation by Chavawn Kelley of Laramie, Wyoming Council for the Humanities Speakers Bureau. Alfred Jacob Miller visited this area in 1837 and painted the Wind River Mountains and the Green River Rendezvous. Kelley will discuss Miller’s experiences and will show slides of his paintings. Green River Valley Land Trust Board President Tucker Smith will introduce Ms. Kelley, and will share his thoughts on the connections between art, landscapes, and land conservation. Giant Slalom invitational for all Idaho, Utah and Wyoming Junior racers. Saturday start time 10:30 am, White Pine Ski Resort. Register by noon Thursday, Mar. 4. Club series race open to all junior racers K - 8. Course is one run GS. Fees: lift $20 per racer, $5 race fee per racer. Each team receives 2 free coach tickets. Penalties for late registration. Various companies and organizations will be represented, including government agencies - this is not just an oil & gas event!
